Preferring to let the music speak for itself, Ben is a fast-rising producer based out of Brooklyn, who made a lot of noise as a member of the innovative rock edged, yet very much club-geared group Savoy. Now he’s introducing himself with ‘Perfume & Cigarettes’ – his debut release on Gramatik’s independent label Lowtemp. Capturing the essence of most nightclubs around the world in two words, it is certainly appropriate for Ben’s unique brand of mutant nu-disco funk as it was clearly made with the crowded dancefloors in mind.
